A Very Musical October

Who knew October was such a popular time for music festivals?  Next month there will be several different music expos, trade shows, and more music-themed events taking place throughout the U.S.  Let's go over some of the most popular music events taking place in October:

1.  CMJ Music Marathon | New York, New York | October 18 - 22

There's quite an impressive history behind New York City's CMJ Music Marathon.  According to Wikipedia, the annual festival was first introduced in 1980 and has seen dozens of notable artists such as Eminem, The Killers, Run-DMC, and Foo Fighters.  But the fair is not just for musicians-- "CMJ fills more than 80 of the city’s greatest venues, nightclubs and theaters with over 120,000 fans, music industry professionals, college radio tastemakers, bloggers, press, filmmakers and musicians," reports LiveMusicBlog.com.  Therefore, if you're a musician slated to appear at CMJ Music Marathon, you'll want to be remembered! Try passing out music industry promo items to stand out to influential individuals within the music industry. 

2.  Pennsylvania Music Expo | Lancaster, Pennsylvania | October 9

The Pennsylvania Music Expo, which is hosted by the Keystone Record Collectors (KRC), also has a rich history.  Its 30th anniversary was celebrated in 2009, and it continues to attract over 600 people every month who are "ready to buy, sell or trade music and music-related memorabilia," according to the event's official Web site.  If you're a member of KRC and are looking to hold a table, you'll want to hand out promotional products that will bring people over to your booth.  It's a great way to put your merchandise on display for all to see and to really make a name for yourself.

3.  Wisconsin State Music Conference | Madison, Wisconsin | October 26 - 29

Are you looking for an expo that covers music from an educator's perspective? Then you should consider attending the Wisconsin State Music Conference, which is hosted by the Wisconsin Music Educators Association (WMEA).  Those looking to exhibit products or services at the conference can look forward to being seen by "over 7,000 of your customers, including more than 1,200 registered music educators and 1,400 student performers in addition to parents/chaperones, conductors, presenters and audience members," according to the event Web site.  Make a memorable impression-- distribute music themed promotional giveaways to those who visit your booth, and they won't soon forget you!
