Not every chance to reach consumers requires putting on a jacket and tie. With the coming months, you can expect more music festivals, art shows, park exhibits and other occasions to put together the tradeshow booth outside.

One such event is very local for those in the Motivators community. The Great South Bay Music Festival is more than just what the title hints at. Through music, art, culture and food, it is a weekend gathering that promotes family unity and the importance of an eco-friendly lifestyle. But unlike other local events, expect nationally recognized (and local) foods and musicians.

Although only the dates are known for the Great South Bay Music Festival, applications are currently being taken for eco-friendly vendors and food vendors. After you submit your application, be sure to check out some of our custom eco-friendly items. These will be guaranteed in before the festival kicks off on July 13 (the festival runs from July 13 to July 15) and there's enough of a variety to find exactly how you want to promote your name.

Stay tuned for other casual events for networking opportunities.

Alternative Energy Talks at the 2012 Energy Innovation Summit

Last week, more than 3,000 researchers, educators and entrepreneurs met near Washington D.C. to discuss the future of alternative energy at the Energy Innovation Summit.  Upwards of 300 exhibitors, comprising companies, universities, and more, unveiled unique and innovative technologies that will shape the way we create power in the coming years.

The Energy Innovation Summit, which was sponsored by the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) took place February 27 - 29, 2012, and featured keynotes by prominent figures such as former President Bill Clinton and Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates.  But most intriguing for members of the scientific community were the technologies and products on display.

According to PhysOrg.com, one of the "remarkable" technologies showcased was presented by Sheetak, a Texas-based company.  The innovation offers a new way to cooling that "fits the transformed workings of a compressor onto a circuitry board the size of a credit card."

Other energy friendly promotional products on display included algae that can create fuel and an extra-large capacity lithium-ion battery for powering hybrid cars.

Manufacturers Show Off Eco-Friendly RVs, Hope to Revitalize Industry

In early 2009, the average price for gas in the United States was just $1.61 per gallon. Today, that's more than doubled; the mean price per gallon is now up to $3.25. With that in mind, it's understandable that the Recreational Vehicle (RV) industry has suffered over the past few years.

But today in Louisville, Kentucky, RV corporate leaders and dealers are meeting at the Kentucky Exposition Center to celebrate the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association's 49th annual national trade show and revitalize interest in the RV industry.  According to the Indianapolis Star, the trade show event was kicked off this morning with a speech by U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar.

Most importantly, the trade show will focus on "an array of RVs that are smaller, lighter and more fuel efficient than past models." The updated RVs will be showcased by manufacturers who look forward to showing off their environmentally-friendly designs.
