Networking with Wii

Let's face it, networking can be boring. Going to an event where everyone's main focus is selling themselves while making casual chit chat can often be hard to swallow. Plus, how do you properly get a conversation started and achieve exactly what you want? Is there an easy way to form a relationship with someone over a simple breakfast of pancakes and eggs? You know why you're there, you know why they're there. So the question begs to be asked. Is it ever fun?

It seems that's the exact same question that Lee 3 Productions asked themselves while they were plotting to come up with a great new networking event. And they found, that with the help of some signature cocktails, a few comedians, some karaoke and one of the hottest video gaming systems around, the answer is yes.

Lee 3 Productions has teamed with Hadiyah Robinson to create Wii Thursdays: A Networking Event. This Thursday at Jelani Lounge in Brooklyn, professionals from every walk of life can meet up to play some Wii. According to the official description on Yahoo events:

"Are you tired of the same old scene afterwork, seeing the same old people, doing the same old thing? Lee's Wii Party NYC is a networking event in conjunctions with Comedy Thursdays for the sophisticated, mature, business minded individual to exchange information and ideas while having the time of your life in the first ever "Wii Tournament".

You play some video games, have some cocktails, give out your business cards and form relationships in a fun environment. The organizer is even looking for small businesses who want to give out promotional products, which is definitely a benefit for any attendee and any small business. Instead of the typical bar giveaways that no one would ever bring to their office, attendees will getting promotional products advertising companies at the event.  Truly a great way of networking in 2008.
